For Char Lee
My co-worker and friend, Jamie, has a pet ferret named Char Lee Charcoal. He has been quite ill recently, and passed away Saturday.
I know many of you have four-footed, furry “children”, and can sympathize with the pain of losing a beloved pet. Please keep Jamie and Char Lee in your prayers.
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thank you so much for posting Char Lee’s pics and poem. He was an amazing little guy, he really taught me how to love with all of my heart. I miss him so much, but find comfort knowing his struggle is over and he can now play free of illness. He will forever be with me. Always, in my heart.
Rest in Peace my dear son.
